  • RMIT University Global Business Innovation Enabling Capability Platform;
  • OpenInnoTrain Project
  • University of Copenhagen

Held in-person and online at the Blockchain Innovation Hub on Thursday 20 April, 2023.

Collaboration between: RMIT University BlockChain Hub; OpenInnoTrain Project; Global Business Innovation Enabling Capability Platform, RMIT University; University of Copenhagen.

About the Seminar: Predicting stakeholder intent and sentiment in decentralised metaverse gaming communities can help with managing culture, strategic focus, meaningful contributions and business model execution. To the extent that DeFi provides a community with financial services, it could also provide a regulatory dialogue, according to OpenInnoTrain secondee Henrik Axelsen from the University of Copenhagen.

In this presentation, Henrik presented his research exploring the role of culture in the hypergrowth of decentralized community models. In particular, whether a common moral mission can be harnessed across gaming communities in metaverse constructs by using Generative Pretrained Transformer (GPT) models to supplement more traditional qualitative methods for cultural assessment.

Henrik also presented an overview of the behaviours he has identified amongst pseudonymous actors based on their activity in the Discord, and what this means in relation to managing culture and business model execution.

Henrik’s seminar was facilitated by Associate Professor Chris Berg, Director, Blockchain Innovation Hub.

The seminar concluded with an extremely insightful Panel discussion on ‘Using AI to build the crypto economy’, again facilitated by Chris, with Panel Members:

  • Henrik Axelsen, University of Copenhagen (and EU-Funded OpenInnoTrain Project (Chief Investigator, Professor Anne-Laure Mention, Director, GBI ECP, RMIT University);

  • Distinguished Professor Jason Potts, RMIT Blockchain Innovation Hub; and

  • Dr. Vy Nguyen, RMIT Blockchain Innovation Hub.

Sincere thanks to Sally Piper, Marketing & Communications Manager, Blockchain Innovation Hub, College of Business and Law for her exceptional management of this event!
