POSTPONED! Grand opportunities and challenges for Industry 4.0 and FoodTech – building the bridges trough Open Innovation


Join a workshop for identifying the open innovation challenges in Industry 4.0 and Food industry in Zagreb in March 2020 and visit some of the most innovative companies in Croatia: KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute, Rimac (Automotive industry), Podravka (Food industry).

Overview

We are pleased to welcome OpenInnoTrain partners, companies, and researchers to meet and discuss Open Innovation, Research Translation and University-Industry Cooperation in the capital city of Croatia, Zagreb. OpenInnoTrain workshop will be held at one of the oldest institution of higher education in economics in this part of Europe as a part of University of Zagreb. The Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb have hosted many conferences and published scientific journals and it is one of the most important strategic partner for Croatian enterprises.

The goal of this workshop is to connect experts from industry and researchers. On the first day, some of the most successful and innovative Croatian firms will share their experiences and talk about their opportunities and challenges (KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute, Podravka and Kraš – Food industry).

On the second day, participants will have a chance to visit Rimac company which is known for designing and producing electric vehicles and KONČAR – Electrical Engineering Institute which produces equipment and plants for the generation, transmission and distribution of electrical energy.

How to reach Zagreb

Zagreb is the capital and it is the largest city of Croatia. It is located along the Sava river and below the Medvednica mountain. It is known for its diverse economy, museums, high-tech industries and research institutions.  Due its geographical location it is very well connected to the rest of the Europe. Zagreb airport is only 20 minutes away from the city center. Uber, Bolt and regular local cab are available and safe to use.
