I am a postdoctoral researcher and senior research fellow of the Institute for Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH).

I really enjoyed my first secondment at RMIT Barcelona, where I had the opportunity to meet researchers as well as staff from RMIT Europe and discuss ideas and projects. Furthermore, I got in contact with various stakeholders that are relevant for an exchange.

My secondment has been beneficial to me in several ways. First, I could network with fellow researchers within the field of (open) innovation, which is certainly an important building block for my career in academia and beyond. Second, during this first secondment, I received support in planning future secondments via the OpenInnotrain (OIT)-network. Third, I had the chance to explore the ecosystem in Catalonia and meet with researchers from other relevant institutions.

To me personally, OIT is a great opportunity to grow professionally as well as personally and connect to other people who wish to work and engage in innovation.
